New Slope Connection & Lifts in Sölden
The Sölden ski area is getting a fantastic upgrade for the 2025/26 winter season: two state-of-the-art lifts – the Einzeigeras a feeder lift to the glacier and the Silberbrünnl – will take you quickly and comfortably to the slopes. The planned start is mid-November 2025. With the newly created slope connection (valley runs 7 & 22), Bergbahnen Sölden is realizing another milestone: all central points in the valley area can now be reached by ski or snowboard, while increasing the total kilometers of slopes.
New lifts for more quality
Starting with the 2025/26 ski season (planned opening: November 2025), two cutting-edge ski lifts from Austrian world market leader Doppelmayr will be available in Sölden. The Einzeiger (until now a 4-seater chairlift) will become a fast 8-seater feeder lift to the slopes on the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers. With a capacity of 4,000 people per hour and a ride time of just 3.5 minutes, you’ll reach the glacier ski area in no time. Weather protection bubbles are an essential feature at this altitude.
At Giggijoch, the old Silberbrünnl lift will be replaced. The new 8-seater chairlift, with 83 chairs, weather protection bubbles, and a transport capacity of 3,800 people per hour, provides noticeable relief. It’s especially popular for repeat runs on blue slope 13. For you, that means: no waiting times, higher quality, and safe transport – especially for children. Both lift systems (new 8-seater Silberbrünnl & Einzeiger) will be among the most powerful in the ski area and contribute to a perfect ski holiday in Sölden.
New slope connection in the valley area
A milestone is the connection between slope 7 and slope 22. It allows you to ski directly via the valley run to the most important points in town (Postplatz Sölden, Gaislachkogl and Giggijoch valley stations). This way, you can reach the base stations without detours and reduce your reliance on ski buses in town. The connection adds around 1.8 km of additional slopes, softens steep passages for beginners, and provides safe alternatives.
For less experienced skiers, this new slope connection in Sölden from the 2025/26 winter season is a real bonus. It creates new access points in the ski area, eases infrastructure in the valley, and gives you even more freedom in route choice. Good to know: in bad weather that makes lift operations in higher areas difficult, this valley area offers an independent small ski area.

A new slope guidance system makes orientation in Sölden even clearer. Around 60 new signs and a redesigned panorama map will show you, for the first time, the real dimensions of the ski area. What becomes visible: on average, each skier in Sölden has about 400 m² of space. This sets international standards in service design in the Ötztal and ensures a stress-free ski experience.
